Can I arrange care if I live in the US, UK or Canada?

Yes. Many of our families live overseas. You can find, book and pay for care entirely online, from any time zone, and our team is a WhatsApp message away if you want to talk it through. You never need to be in Jamaica.

How do I know what checks have been done on the caregiver?

Every caregiver is checked by our team before families can book them, and the checks show on their profile:

National IDReferencesPolice recordNursing licence (for nurses)

If a check is still in progress, the profile says so. We never show a check as complete when it isn't.

How do I pay, and what will it cost in total?

Pay by card or by bank transfer, in US dollars or Jamaican dollars. You see the full price, including any card processing fee, before you pay. Nothing is charged automatically for repeat bookings.

How to pay

What if the caregiver cancels or doesn't show up?

On bookings paid in full to DearGivers, our no-show backup guarantee means we find a replacement, or refund you. You're not left to sort it out from thousands of miles away.

Stay close, even from far away

After each shift, your caregiver files a short report on how the day went: how your loved one was, medication, meals, and anything to flag. Anything urgent is always shown to you straight away.
