How DearGivers works

From finding care to getting paid, here's the whole picture.

For families

1

Tell us what you need

Describe the type of care, schedule, and location. Takes a few minutes, broken into short steps.

2

Find the right caregiver

Browse verified caregiver profiles yourself, or post your care request and receive interest from qualified caregivers.

3

Review & pay

See the caregiver's profile and rate before paying, by card or bank transfer, whichever you prefer.

4

Care begins

Your caregiver is notified once you've paid, and the job is officially on the calendar.

For caregivers

1

Apply and set your rate

Tell us about your experience and upload your documents: ID, references, a police record (nurses upload their nursing qualification, registration and CV instead), and any certifications. We'll also schedule a short interview.

2

Get verified

Our team manually reviews everything before your profile goes live to families.

3

Accept jobs that fit

Browse open jobs matching your services and parish, or get chosen directly from your profile.

4

Get paid

Payments are processed automatically once a job is completed.

Fees

Caregivers set their own rates, and a DearGivers fee is added on top of their rate. You'll see the full cost before completing your payment, so there are no surprises.

Cancellations & refunds

If a confirmed, online-paid booking falls through on our or a caregiver's end before the job takes place, you're entitled to a full refund of what you paid DearGivers. If you need to cancel, refund eligibility depends on how much notice you give, reach out and we'll take a look case by case. Bank transfers are only confirmed once we've verified the receipt, and the cash portion of a cash-to-caregiver booking isn't covered by our backup guarantee, since DearGivers has no visibility into that transaction. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
